Established in 1964, the Department of Electronic Engineering of DCET has the honour to be the pioneer in the field of Electronic Engineering Education in Pakistan.

Due to the ever increasing interest in its curricula, it has always remained the biggest & most important department of this college.

For more than four decades this department continues to develop technically proficient engineers with practical skills as refund in industries. The futuristic approach in its syllabi and curricula ensures that the graduates have technical expertise with excellence in to personal communication skills, to practice professional ethics.

Joint efforts and close collaboration in solving the practical problems in different organizations using Electronic Engineering expertise has always remained the main policy of the department.

Modern Electronic Engineering Curricula offers diversified fields which further branch out to offer full-fledge engineering disciplines for Design and Development, Installations and Maintenance, sales and Marketing. Opportunities in telecommunications, information technology, computer Engineering and systems, Software and Hardware Solutions, Controls Devices and manufacturing techniques are a few examples.

The Department of Electronic Engineering has, in particular, always played a pivotal role in the development and advancement of the discipline of Electronic Engineering all over Pakistan through its alumni / students who belong to various provinces of Pakistan and also rest of the world.
